The Lutheran High Mustangs fell to the Leakey High School Eagles in six man football action last week. The Eagles, playing their first season in six man, broke open a close game in the fourth quarter after a series of weather delays broke up any kind of rhythm to the game. Lutheran fell 36-7 to the Eagles.
The Mustangs lone touchdown came courtesy of Junior Andrew Oliver. Senior Noah Tostenson scooted in for the two point conversion. On the night, the Mustangs were able to muster 134 yards rushing.
Defensively, the Mustangs were able to force 4 fumbles. Noah Gonzales led the team with 9 tackles, including one for a loss and a fumble recovery. Andrew Oliver, JJ Davis, and Reese Alfaro also had fumble recoveries.
Lutheran (0-2) will host the number one rated team (sixmanfootball.com) in the TAPPS Division I, the Dallas Lutheran Lions (3-0) on Friday night at 5 PM. The game will be at Concordia Lutheran School off of Huebner and 1604.
