Mustangs News · Post Season Honors Come in For Lady Mustang Volleyball Athletes


Six members of the Lutheran High Volleyball Team earned post season  honors for the 2018 Fall season. The Lady Mustangs finished the season with a record of 12-21  overall and a 4-2 district record. They finished second in district 5, knocking off the top seeded team once in district play.  The finish was enough to earn a home playoff game against Veritas Academy (Austin). Lutheran would fall in an epic 5 set match. The Mustangs ended the season winning four of their final six games.

These Lady Mustangs performed well enough this season to earn post season distinction.

Sky Denning, Sr: ,Honorable Mention All State,  1st Team All District, Academic All State. The senior hitter led the team with 180 kills on the year while also netting 20 service aces.

Lillie Hall, Sr: , 1st Team All District, Academic All State. The senior  middle was second on the team in kills with 106. She also led the team in blocks with 31 on the season while also having a team high 44 aces.

Kylan Perry, Sr: 1st Team All District, Academic All State. The senior setter led the team in in assists and was also second in blocks. She was third on the team in service aces.

Maya Sanders, Fr: 1st Team All District. The freshman hitter tallied 103 kills on the season, which was third on the team. She was also second in aces with 41.

Aynsley Larsen, Fr: 2nd Team All District. The freshman was second on the team in assists and also netted 25 aces on the season as she played outstanding defense for the Lady Mustangs.

Kamryn Boriack, So: Honorable Mention All District. The sophomore was 5th on the team in kills and and was third on the team in blocks.
