Mustangs Hit the Road

The Mustang boys’ basketball team hit the road this past weekend, competing in a tournament in Glen Rose, Texas. They finished the tournament 2-3, defeating Gatesville and the host school, Glen Rose.  Senior David Wenthe set a new school record making 11 three-pointers in the game against Gatesville. In that same game, junior Dristin Riebel was perfect from the field going 7-7. Great job, Mustangs!

The girls’ basketballteam also traveled to a tournament in Galveston.  After winning games on both Thursday and Friday, they made it to the championship game on Saturday and defeated the host school, Galveston O’Connell, to take home the first place trophy.  Sophomore Maya Sanders and freshman Olivia Davila were both named to the All-Tournament Team. Congratulations, Lady Mustangs!

Friday night, all 3 teams will be playing at home against San Marcos Hill Country.  Games are at 4:30 (Boys JV), 6:00 (Girls Varsity), and 7:30 (Boys Varsity). It is also Alumni Night.  All LHS alumni are invited to attend and we have some special events planned!
