The Mustangs overcame a slow start but relied on a suffocating defense to spur them to a 52-41 win and claim the 4A District 5 Title by defeating the John Paul II Guardians.
The Guardians jumped out to a 24-8 first quarter lead and led 30-14 at the half. A huge second half which saw the Mustangs out score the Guardians 38-13 was enough for the eleven point win.
Freshman Mason Knowles had a game high 17 points to lead three Mustangs in double figures. Monroe Knowles had 14 points, while Zach Biedinger chipped in with 11.
The Mustangs look to complete a perfect district season as they take on Geneva on Friday.
